Cross Country Education is seeking a dynamic, proactive History Teacher with a specialty in African American Studies for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. Position Overview:
- Design and facilitate engaging, culturally responsive 10th-grade lessons covering General History and specialized African American Studies.
- Monitor student progress through regular grading and real-time feedback, adjusting instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
- Manage classroom dynamics and curriculum planning, fostering an energetic classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and critical discourse
- Participate in daily team huddles and departmental meetings to align on school culture and student data.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
- Valid New York State Teaching Certification (Preferred)
- Non-certified Candidates: Must have a minimum of 12 credits in the History or African American Studies (Transcript required)
- 1–2 years of teaching experience in the relevant subject area (Preferred)
