Position Overview:

• Design and facilitate engaging, culturally responsive 10th-grade lessons covering General History and specialized African American Studies.
• Monitor student progress through regular grading and real-time feedback, adjusting instructional strategies to meet diverse student needs.
• Manage classroom dynamics and curriculum planning, fostering an energetic classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and critical discourse
• Participate in daily team huddles and departmental meetings to align on school culture and student data.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree (Required)
• Valid New York State Teaching Certification (Preferred)
  • Non-certified Candidates: Must have a minimum of 12 credits in the History or African American Studies (Transcript required)
• 1–2 years of teaching experience in the relevant subject area (Preferred)
