Position Overview
- Provide specialized instruction and academic support to 7th-8th grade students with mild-to-moderate learning needs.
- Serve as case manager for assigned students, coordinating IEP development, meetings, progress monitoring, and implementation of individualized goals and accommodations.
- Monitor student progress, maintain appropriate documentation, and adjust instruction based on student performance and identified needs.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to promote student engagement, inclusion, and academic growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or higher
- Valid California Special Education Credential with Mild/Moderate Disabilities authorization
- Valid California English Learner (EL) Authorization/Certificate required
- Experience teaching or supporting middle school students in a special education setting, preferably with mild to moderate disabilities
