Are you passionate about helping students succeed through accessible communication? Cross Country Education is seeking a dedicated Sign Language Interpreter to support elementary and high school students, fostering meaningful communication and student success throughout the 2026–2027 school year in Jonesboro, GA.
Position Overview:
- Provide sign language interpretation services for elementary and high school students during classroom instruction, school activities, and educational events.
- Facilitate effective communication between students who are deaf or hard of hearing and teachers, staff, and peers.
- Collaborate with educators and support staff to promote an inclusive learning environment and ensure students have equitable access to educational opportunities.
- Maintain professionalism, confidentiality, and accurate documentation while supporting student communication needs.
Qualifications:
- Active Georgia Sign Language Interpreter (SLI) Certification
- Active Georgia Educational Interpreter License
- Experience interpreting in educational settings, preferably with elementary and/or high school students
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills, with the ability to adapt interpretation services to diverse student needs
