Position Overview
- Provide occupational therapy services to K–8 students, supporting fine-motor, sensory, visual-motor, self-care, and functional skills needed for success in the classroom.
- Implement individualized therapy activities and interventions under the direction and supervision of an Occupational Therapist.
- Monitor student progress, document treatment sessions and outcomes, and communicate observations to the supervising OT and appropriate school staff.
- Collaborate with teachers, therapists, and families to reinforce therapeutic strategies and promote student participation, independence, and classroom success.
Qualifications
- Associate degree in Occupational Therapy Assisting
- Active Arizona Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) License
- Valid Arizona IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card
- School-based or pediatric experience preferred
